THE LEGACY OF THE PLIATERIAI FAMILY

As early as the 18th century, this place belonged to the Pliateriai family - one of the most valuable estates in Vilnius at the time. Its value came not only from its proximity to the city, but also from the Vingriai springs, which shaped the landscape of this area for centuries and supplied the city with water.

Over time, the city's boundaries, architecture, and people changed, but the place itself never lost its significance. Today, on the site of the historic Pliateriai family estate, "Borgo" is rising - a new layer of the city, one that respectfully continues this place's history. It is yet another transformation, proving that exceptional places never lose their value - they simply take on a new form.

CREATIVITY INSIDE BORGO

Every transformation begins with creativity. Even before "Borgo" became a new living space, its rooms were filled with acclaimed artists, designers, and creators from other fields. The building, turned into their temporary studios, became a place for ideas to be born, for creative processes to unfold, and for new stories to begin.

It is a symbolic bridge between past and future - a respectful farewell to the building's history before it takes on an entirely new life.

BORGO PREMIERE

Quality begins with careful preparation. After a long time spent developing the concept for this project, we are delighted to present the premiere of Borgo today. We are turning a new page - both in our own history and in the history of Vilnius Old Town. The rebirth of Borgo begins here and now.
